Learning
We have worked together to design a balanced curriculum which meets the academic, personal and social needs of our pupils whilst adhering to the requirements of the Primary National Curriculum 2014 (Primary National Curriculum 2014) . We also follow the Early years foundation stage statutory framework for our children in nursery and reception (Early years foundation stage statutory framework).
In line with the school ethos that ‘Achieving Success Together’ leaders, parents and governors are committed to offering all pupils experiences that will prepare them for their next steps in learning, and for their life as citizens of a global community.

We place a high priority on the development of language skills from the outset for all pupils. The school provides opportunities for high quality talk and strong phonics teaching using the Read Write Inc phonics programme.
Children are given many opportunities to learn through first-hand experience. Trips and visits are planned for all classes from nursery to year six.
Opportunities for children to perform are embedded through all phases. Performances include termly class assemblies for years 1 to 6 and the Nativity for Early Years. These offer opportunities for children to develop essential communication skills, gain confidence and boost their self-esteem.
Differentiated Instruction:
- Recognise and accommodate the diverse learning needs and strengths of pupils through differentiated instruction.
- Provide varied teaching approaches, assisted technology, and assessments to support individualised learning pathways.
Global Citizenship and Cultural Competence:
- Foster global awareness and cultural competence by incorporating diverse perspectives, global issues, and multicultural content into the curriculum.
- Encourage pupils to appreciate diversity, understand global interconnectedness, and become responsible global citizens.
