Online Safety
In today’s digital world, ensuring that children are safe online is more important than ever. The internet offers incredible learning opportunities, but it also comes with risks such as inappropriate content, cyberbullying, and online threats.
At Bankfoot Primary School, we believe that teaching children to use technology responsibly and safely is essential in helping them navigate the online world with confidence.
We take online safety seriously and are committed to providing a secure digital environment for all pupils and staff. Our school uses filtering and monitoring software to block inappropriate websites and protect users from harmful content. In addition, we actively monitor online activity to identify any potential concerns, allowing us to respond swiftly to safeguard our school community. Through regular online safety education, we empower our pupils to make smart and responsible choices when using technology.
We also recognise that online safety extends beyond the school environment, which is why we work in partnership with parents to help children stay safe online at home. We provide guidance, resources, and workshops to support families in understanding the risks and promoting safe digital habits. By working together, we can ensure that children develop the knowledge and awareness they need to stay protected online, both in school and beyond.
