Autumn One
As part of our topic based around Ancient Greece we will discuss the civilisation from this period in history and children will compare to other ancient civilisations. They will understand the meaning of the word empire and how Ancient Greece was able to establish one. We will look at the different Greek myths and learn about what people in Ancient Greece might have believed and how the religion and/or Gods influence us today. We will analyse how artefacts help us work out what life was like in the past.

Autumn Two
In this topic, children will explore "Why do Oceans Matter?" They will delve into the significance of oceans, uncover the vital role oceans play in the climate, providing habitats for diverse marine life, and sustaining life on our planet. Through hands-on learning and exploration, they will gain a deeper understanding of the significance of Earth's oceans.

This half term’s topic is called, ‘What is life like in the Alps?’.
Children will explore geography, climate, and cultural aspects of the Alps mountain range, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the unique and diverse life in this region.
